The nuts & bolts
About Little & Wood
What are Little & Woods?
Little & Wood creates playful, flat-pack 3D wooden kit-sets designed to bring a little more creativity and fun into everyday life.
Each woodlet arrives flat and slots together to become a freestanding 3D design, with collections spanning animals, birds, dinosaurs, vehicles, landmarks and plenty more.
Simple to build. Fun to give. Even better to display.
What are they made from?
Our woodlets are made from FSC-certified MDF, produced from sustainably grown New Zealand pine, and printed using VOC-free inks. Packed in recycled card envelopes, we have tried to keep our plastic use as low as possible.
We’re big believers that making fun shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense, so sustainability is considered throughout the way we design, make and package our products.
Is your product plastic-free?
Not completely. We keep plastic use to a minimum, but where we do use it, we take responsibility for it.
Little & Wood offsets twice the amount of plastic we use through Plastic Collective, supporting plastic recovery projects that help remove discarded plastic from the environment.
You can see our impact on our Plastic Offset dashboard.
Where are they made?
Little & Wood began in New Zealand, where our woodlets are proudly crafted. We started with a simple idea and now send a little bit of Kiwi-made fun to retailers and customers around the world.
We operate through a US business, invoice in USD, and take care of importing and duties into the US, so ordering from us is straightforward and there’s no international admin on your side.
Who are they for?
Right now, littleandwood.com is built for our retail and trade partners.
You’ll find Little & Wood in museums, zoos, visitor attractions, gift stores, independent retailers and other brilliant places across North America.
Shopping for yourself? Our consumer store is coming soon. In the meantime, send us a message and we’ll help point you towards a Little & Wood stockist near you.
How do I assemble a Little & Wood?
We keep it simple, no tools required. Gently twist and push the pieces out, then slot them together following the diagram included with your kit. Once everything is lined up, give each join a little extra push to lock it into place.
Nothing should need to be forced. If something isn’t fitting, check the orientation and try the angle again.
Glue isn’t necessary, but a small dot of wood glue can be used if you’d like the joins to be permanent.

Are Little & Wood products Prop 65 compliant?
Yes. Little & Wood products comply with California Proposition 65 requirements.
We also use VOC-free inks and carefully selected materials across our products.
